Strategic Intervention Coaching
Strategic Intervention, also known as Human Needs Psychology, proposes that solutions “snap into place” when more of an individual’s needs are met, expressed, and elevated.
Tony Robbins, Cloe Madanes and Magali and Mark Peysha collaborated to create this unique and effective coaching program with the purpose of helping to create lasting change for the individual so they may achieve what they want most in life.
Strategic Intervention originated in the late 1950’s with the Mental Research Institute (MRI) through the work of psychologists such as Gregory Bateson and Jay Haley. Their group spent years analyzing and understanding the work of Milton Erickson. Erickson believed that the unconscious was full of wisdom. Therefore, the intent was not to give people insight but rather help them access it on their own.
Their studies of Ericksonian psychology examined how strategic change occurs within individuals. This led to breakthroughs and a turning point in the development of entire disciplines such as cybernetics, strategic therapy, family therapy, game theory, Human Needs Psychology, management psychology, organizational psychology, neurolinguistics, psychology of influence, strategic studies, traditions of diplomacy and negotiation, and others.

Cloe Madanes has been associated with this project for four decades and is now the senior member. Cloe recognizes Tony Robbins as one of its most highly skilled thinkers and practitioners. One of his hallmark techniques is the 6 Human Needs. Both Robbins and Madanes have been powerfully influenced by the great insights and works of Victor Frankl and Milton Erickson’s creative breakthroughs in human intervention.

Mark Peysha's vision was to incorporate these findings within a set of standards and practices for others to learn and utilize in order to create change in others. Strategic Intervention Coaching was then established as its own field, as an integration of change, coaching and action methodology.
Magali Peysha is a gifted Strategic Interventionist Coach, teacher, co-author of The Strategic Intervention Handbook and co-founder of Robbins-Madanes Training and Center for Strategic Intervention.
The aim of Robbins-Madanes Training in Strategic Intervention Coaching is:
“To develop an eminently practical method for taking action in a strategic way to get things done so that human needs are fulfilled and elevated.”

Numerous aspects of Strategic Intervention are apparent wherever extraordinary skill is used to bring about positive personal and cultural change. Masterful Strategic Interventionists such as Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi epitomize how these methods transcend diversity and encourage partnership.
Strategic Intervention coaches are trained to navigate these various arenas with ease.
